Where to eat in Cervia: Ligio, Restaurant Café
Posted on | September 1, 2011 | Comments Off
Last night in Cervia, to be celebrated with a dinner different from the usual.
Carlo and I had watched with interest Ligio, Restaurant Café in Via Roma 83 (Tel: 0544 1889333) for several days in our evening walks.
We were attracted by the menu card exposed outside the restaurant and the importance given to the raw fish specialties.
You can also eat sushi and sashimi by booking.
Various and positive all the comments on Internet.
In short, a number of positive indications, absolutely convincing.
That was just the place to close our holidays in Cervia!
As we entered we loved it. Beautiful room. Modern. Comfortable. Essential.
Pleasant background music, not too loud that allows you to chat peacefully. Clearly, a choice common to many restaurants (be careful, not all) of a certain level in this area. Very apt!
But what about its food, the real aim of our post?
Our dinner menu was composed by a starter and a main dish.
Carlo and I chose two different starters and main dishes. Our aim? To halve them and taste more dishes, obviously.
Carlo ordered a buffalo mozzarella accompanied by anchovies and bell peppers in oil. I preferred carpaccio of sea bass with dried fruits and flowers. I spent the summer studying this topic. You will see the results next summer. In the meantime I began to publish some recipes with nasturtiums. These flowers can be grown easily in pots and are delicious to eat. Very good is the pasta with zucchini and nasturtium flowers, of our own creation.
But back to us. The dish the waiter brought me was very inviting and colorful. Orange and purple petals of flowers decorated the raw fillets of sea bass placed on a tender green salad enriched with dried fruit and dressed with extra virgin olive oil. A delight. Not to be missed!
And now the main dishes!
The first: spaghetti with roe and cherry tomatoes. The second: paccheri with lobster … served perfectly. Delicious! There is no need of bib or disposable cleaning wet wipes. The lobster meat is in shelled chunks. And the pasta sauce … mouth-watering!
I insist on this detail that makes the difference between the restaurants: to serve shelled lobster not to create great difficulties with forks and knives …
Final rating? fully promoted. We would have liked to taste more. Maybe next time.
Remember: it isn’t cheap!
Greetings from Italy
