I want to share with you my new interest on healthy cakes. Cakes made without eggs, butter, milk and sugar.
Indeed I have been working on light cakes and generally light recipes for some years. Why?
My husband and I are not vegan. The need to cook lighter dishes comes from the following problems.
My husband Carlo suffers from dyslipidemia ( high triglycerides, low HDL cholesterol and high LDL cholesterol) and our daily menu is planned according to this metabolic problem. But it isn’t the only problem. I’m at increased risk of types 2 diabetes. Besides I have elevated blood pressure.
Ah … I was forgetting to tell you about his insulin resistance.
We know many of you share these problems with us. Besides many of you should lose weight.
Most people are discouraged, forget the tasty food and becomes sad …
What about us?
We live in Italy the land where food is tasty and recipes emphasize the tasty food! … and we are not discouraged!
So what have we done? how have we found our balance?
We are sure we have found our balance thanks to the Mediterranean diet, our creativity, our love for food and the experience we have accumulated over the years.
We believe strongly everyone must follow these rules when they are on a diet whatever it is
– 1. food must taste and smell fantastic
-2. people must eat everything included pasta or cakes
-3. meals must be distributed evenly over the day
-4. physical activity should be increased in every case
At this point somebody could tell why we publish the authentic Italian recipes often so rich in calories, fat,
We think that everyone must know the real recipe and decide what to do … Many recipes can be eaten often others less frequently. All can be chosen for a celebration menu, a dinner party, a special occasion.
It’s different the daily diet.
